Sushi Den
Beginning in 1984, brothers Toshi and Yasu Kizaki have served as Denver’s ambassadors to Japanese cuisine. Decades before sushi became the go-to for almost every meal period, Sushi Den quickly became the culinary mecca for Japanese dining in the Rocky Mountains. An important component of the seafood journey begins with their younger brother, Koichi, who visits the Nagahama Fish Market on Kyushu Island daily. Pristine seafood is shipped to Denver in 24-hours or less.
Sushi Den was nominated for “Outstanding Restaurant” by the James Beard Association and the Kizaki brothers were inducted into the National Restaurant Association’s “Hall of Fame” in 2015.
