Merchant Mondays: Second Start to the Right Books
It’s Merchant Monday! This week we are highlighting a cute and colorful shop, Second Star to the Right Books located at 1545 South Pearl Street.
Second Star to the Right is a Children’s and Young Adult book and toy store. They offer a wide variety of books including adult books, parenting, and a selection of books in Spanish. They are Colorado proud and carry a selection of parenting, and gift items local to Colorado companies.
This month, they just launched GAY. IT. FORWARD! 🏳️🌈 a new pay-it-forward program for LGBTQ+ books! And thanks to some generous donations over the holidays (They’re always accepting more), LGBTQ+ youth who aren’t otherwise able to access books with LGBTQ+ characters can now stop in anytime for a book from the shelf, no questions asked. The month of February is #BlackHistoryMonth. So this month, and all year round, please join them in celebrating Black voices and stories available in the store or online.
Second Star to the Right offers a wide range of fundraising, educational and literacy-based programs tailored specifically to the needs of your population and grade levels. We welcome partnerships with schools, youth programs, book clubs, and more!
